The winemaker

Eric and Marc Taillandier embarked on the wine adventure in 1989: recent graduates, they planted in the heart of the Kingdom of dry white what the Loire Valley 8 hectares of vines in a Premier Cru exception: the Savennières white wine from grape varieties Chenin blanc! They have subsequently completed their range, and their field is now composed of two vineyards of 15 hectares: both lying on rocky and often steep slopes, one is established in the municipality of Savennières, the other that of Beaulieu-sur-Layon. Their vines and include other white varieties, but also by red varieties, and thus produce, alongside the AOC Savennières, a red Anjou AOC and a soft Coteaux du Layon! Harvesting is done by hand, and the work of winemaking is traditional.
