The winemaker
Xavier Weisskopf, the winemaker at Domaine Le Rocher des Violettes, discovered the profession in Burgundy and developed a real passion for the world of wine. After 3 years' experience in Gigondas, Xavier settled in the Loire, in the vineyard of Montlouis -sur-Loire.
The vineyard's 13 hectares stretch between AOC Montlouis and AOC Touraine.
Since 2012, Xavier has been cultivating his vines organically, working mainly with Chenin, Côt, Grolleau, Cabernet-franc and Sauvignon from old vines.
The House's first vintage was released in 2005, and has enabled us to offer wines with excellent ageing potential.
