The winemaker

Xavier Weisskopf, the winemaker of the domain Le Rocher des Violettes, discovered this business in Burgundy and was really passionate about the world of wine. With an experience of 3 years in Gigondas, Xavier then settled in the Loire, the vineyards of Montlouis -sur-Loire. The 13 hectares of vineyards extend between the AOC Montlouis and AOC Touraine. Since 2012, Xavier leads his vineyard in biological agriculture and mainly works around Chenin, Côt, Grolleau, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon from old vines. The first vintage of the House was released in 2005 and allowed to offer wines with excellent aging potential.
