The winemaker

The known origins of the area date back to the eleventh century. Recent restoration of the cellar have updated the remains of the church Saint Pierre which belonged to Fulk, Lord of Arcs. This priory was bequeathed, and his land in 1055 to the abbey of St. Victor and later became a dependent rural property of Les Arcs parish. Currently the vineyard castle covers 55 hectares along the Argens to the foot of the Maures. Father and son run for four generations, it is composed mainly of controlled designation of origin grape varieties. On this site our different vintages, awarded through the years. Recognizing the importance of the quality of the terroir and the utmost respect of it, the castle St. Peter has preserved natural crops methods so that the vine can give the best of itself. Traditional winemaking, combined with various technological advances, has achieved the main objective of the castle Saint Pierre: Save typicality and quality of its wines. To guarantee quality, the production is intentionally limited. Four passionate generations have followed the Chateau Saint Pierre to produce the best quality of Côtes de Provence, combining tradition and modernity. Discover four key figures in our field. In the early twentieth century, John Guido owns a field at the foot of the Maures massif bought the Castle of St Peter. At that time, the Castle divides his time between vineyards and fruit trees. In the 40s, Victor Alexander, John Guido son develops the vineyard by planting varieties that are currently the reputation of the great wines of the Castle. It was in 1970 that Jean Victor, son of Alexander focuses its expertise on the vineyard. The current owner, Jean-Philippe Victor resumes following the family business in 1987.
