The winemaker

Situated at an altitude of 300 m in Brue-Auriac in Provence Verte (Var), at the gateway to the Verdon National Park, Maison Cantarelle extends over 165 ha in the Coteaux Varois en Provence appellation, in a sumptuous natural cirque of sandy-clay soil. The rocky massifs of the Sainte-Baume to the west, the Bessillons to the north and the Barres de Cuers to the south stop maritime influences. All this relief gives the climate of the Coteaux Varois en Provence a continental character: autumns and springs are often very mild, alternating with sometimes torrid summers and colder, harsher winters than in the rest of the region. Our vineyard boasts 14 different grape varieties and has been certified to level 3 of the High Environmental Value standard since 2020. There's no family heritage here, no history and centuries-old stones, just men and women who have fallen in love with the site and its terroir, and who have set their sights on the future. Over the vintages, they have passionately contributed to revealing the full brilliance of this nugget and offering fresh, sharing and gourmet rosés. Since 2019, our estate has included a Provence gin distillery with a Charentais still, which makes us unique in the region. Our gin is incredibly aromatic, finding its inspiration in Provence rosés with a profile on citrus fruits like pomelo. Today, our DNA is innovation. Because we refuse to conform to established standards, every Maison Cantarelle creation is the fruit of a constant quest for quality and uniqueness. Together, let's reinvent the rules of the game, break with established codes. Let's think differently, let's reinvent tasting moments for unique experiences.
