The winemaker

La Ferme des Lices has an exceptional location, in the heart of the almost-island of Saint-Tropez. The Mediterranean climate and the scent of the sea give the wines their distinctive aromas. Saint-Tropez has had a shared history with vines since 1793. The estate's history could have been far less happy: in 1960, the vineyard had to be divided up and resold. For many years, each plot was managed by a different winemaker. But Laurence Berlemont arrived in 1990. A young graduate in oenology, she initially managed a single plot. Encouraged by her success on this land, the other owners in turn handed over their vineyards to her. Today, the winemaker continues to manage 8 hectares of vines and 350 olive trees.
