The winemaker

A family property for several generations, Château de Roux was taken over in 2013 by Hubert de Morogues, who was trained by his father not only in the estate cellar, but also in Châteauneuf du Pape and the Fauchon cellars. Château de Roux was built in the late 17th century by Jacques d'Aldebert, seigneur de Roux et de Bragassargues, a relative of the current owners. This typical Cévennes piedmont residence has survived the centuries, as evidenced by the right-hand tower, which was partly destroyed during the French Revolution. Today, the estate offers a range of wines that reflect the complexity and variety of the region's terroirs. From "Menhir", a gourmet, fruity wine for friends, to "La Croix de Castellas", a full-bodied, complex, long-lasting gastronomic wine. Château de Roux's flagship grape varieties are Grenache, Syrah and Roussanne.
