In a few words ...
A well-balanced Côtes du Rhône Villages with good aromatic structure. A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre. The grapes are harvested by hand, and vatted for 25 days in whole bunches. Aged for 30 months in stainless steel vats and 6 months in bottle.

Dark color. I like the fact that the wine is unfiltered. Notes of ripe blackberry and blackcurrant on the nose. On the palate, we find these aromas and violet. Good concentration. Not too full-bodied, well-balanced.

The appellation Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Château du Mourre du Tendre and its 3 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
