This vineyard has conquered generations of fine wine lovers, since Roman times, and for good reason: its location overlooking the Rhone Valley benefits from a very sloping terrain. These extreme conditions and the exposure to winds such as the Mistral, stress the vine and allow for the strongest expression of the terroir. The first vines of Corps de Loup date back to the beginning of the 9th century, and over the years, this estate has been the residence of many famous people and ministers. The terracing of the land has always required that the work in the vineyard be carried out manually, hence a deep respect for the environment, and the systematic choice of natural treatments. These methods and this terroir give a superb range of wines in Condrieu and Côte-Rotie. Find out more

The winemaker

This vineyard has won over generations of fine wine lovers since Roman times, and with good reason: its location overlooking the Rhone Valley benefits from a steeply sloping terrain. These extreme conditions, combined with exposure to winds such as the Mistral, place great demands on the vines, producing the strongest expression of the terroir. The first vines at Corps de Loup date back to the early ninth century, and over the years the estate has been the residence of renowned figures and ministers. From the outset, the terraced nature of the land has meant that vineyard work has always been carried out by hand, resulting in a profound respect for the environment and the systematic choice of natural treatments. These methods and this terroir produce a superb range of wines in Condrieu (2 parcels) and Côte-Rotie (3 parcels).
