The winemaker

Domaine des Maravilhas is located in St. Laurent des Arbres, a neighboring village of Roquemaure, in the heart of Côtes du Rhône Gardoises facing Châteauneuf-du-Pape. We work our vineyards and our juice according to the principles of biodynamics, and are members of the Association Biodyvin. Our wines, red, white and rosé are proposed names Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, and Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun. Heir to four generations of winemakers and native of the great wine region of Oran, Algeria, the founder of the estate vineyard of Maravilhas, convinced that the lands were ideally placed to produce great wines, and planted défricha Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault and three emblematic white grape varieties in the region, Bourboulenc, Clairette and Grenache Blanc. By the late 80s, the vineyard is engaged in biological behavior (certified organic in 1992) and then a conversion to Biodynamic and be certified in 2002. In 2014, Jean-Frédéric Bistagne and Morgane, supported by a group of friends and family, plots and resume chai baptize Domaine des Maravilhas and develop its history by perpetuating the innovative spirit of its founder. Since 2015, the area owns and operates a parcel of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the very cradle of the appellation.
