The winemaker

Established in 1928, our area was mainly developed by our father Edmond Duclaux. Today, we grow hand 5.8 hectares of vineyards on the steep slopes of Tupin and Semons. Our ambition is to produce typical elegant Cote Rotie in southern Côte-Rôtie appellation (from a rock of gneiss). The first walls of Cote Rotie were built during the Roman period. Today, we continue to restore these stone walls and grow vines on these narrow terraces. So the story continues. We-growers and proud of it. We know that a good wine is first developed in the vineyard. And this is especially true in Côte Rotie where steep slopes require daily and constant effort.
