The winemaker

Upon arrival at Domaine des Grands Devers, the four Bouchard brothers wished lead the vine in the healthiest way possible. The average age of the vineyard is quite high, close to 40 years, it seemed essential to preserve their capital. Under the leadership of Paul-Henri, the winemaker "home", they decided to change farming practices towards a culture in viticulture. Gradually, weed and plowing were reintroduced on the farm, as well as organic fertilizer made with straw composts and lavender. Along with this, the four brothers have invested in the purchase of processing equipment suitable for biological and ecological behavior of the vine. They thus have a new sprayer face by face that reduces the dose and perfectly distribute processing. This mindset also led them to focus on "ways" manual when it comes to performing the great works of the vine leaf removal, de-budding, green harvesting ... A working method of respectful advantage of the vine, but also to obtain more rigorous and more accurate results.
