The winemaker

Domaine Pichat has 4 hectares of vineyards in several sectors such as Champon, Cognet, Lead, Fongeant the Gerine the Great Places and La Caille to Condrieu. The work is different on each of the plots. We adapt to the type of soil and the relief of each. The only goal is to get to produce the healthiest grapes and more to be mature. All our work in the vineyards and treatments performed are rational, we do not use pesticide or insecticide and the vast majority of our crop protection products are certified organic. The Domaine Pichat has in recent years of temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for winemaking. The area combines modern and ancient. Breeding is done entirely in barrels of 400 liters for the majority. They are renewed at different rates depending on the vintage. The vintage "Champon's" high with a proportion of 30 to 40% new oak while the cuvee "Les Grandes Places" is fully raised in new barrels, VDF Syrah, VDF Viognier and vintage "Löss" in barrels of one or two wines and finally Condrieu is high at 30% new barrels.
