The winemaker

A family estate

Domaine Pichon was born in the first half of the 20th century in the commune of Chavanay, south of Condrieu. Christophe Pichon took over the estate from his father, acquiring his first vines in 1991.

On the estate, Christophe Pichon has been supported since 2012 by his son Corentin Pichon, who will spend six months vinifying Syrah in Australia in 2014. Alexis Pichon, who also spent a year in Australia at an estate in Tasmania, returns to the estate to bring his experience and enrich viticulture and winemaking techniques.

Christophe Pichon is also president of the Condrieu AOC syndicate, continuing Georges Vernay's work to ensure that Condrieu retains its letters of nobility throughout the world, and continues to grace the tables of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants.

Prestigious wines

The vineyard is fortunate to benefit from several prestigious terroirs such as Roche Coulante in white or Côte Blonde in red.

The vineyard produces, among others, an AOP Cornas "Allégorie". This has a deep ruby-red color and a Syrah-like nose (red and black fruits such as raspberry, blueberry and blackcurrant). On the palate, the wine is structured, spicy and peppery, all in harmony.
