If, one day in 1899, Jean-Baptiste Rigot Marius had not left the family village of Violès to move back a few miles away in the stony plain of the Quartier des Hauts Debates in Jonquières, we certainly would know not today this feature "Garrigues Treasury" which Rigot area's reputation.  Because for generations, it is in Violès that is perpetuated "dynasty" Rigot, where once there were no fewer than 18 families who responded to that name.
