The winemaker

It is in 1464 that Alayx ROZEL started the vine cultivation. He persuaded Francis de Poitiers a wasteland which he cleared. The size of it was paid by the Lord. Four years later a vineyard was planted and Alayx in Rozel was his frank hand. Thus began the cultivation of the vine in the family. Since then, it is from father to son that has passed this passion in the greatest respect for our land. We adhere indeed totally reflection scheme for environmental and traceability. Protecting the environment has always been a priority in the conduct of our operations. Therefore, regular mechanical tillage limit weed, soil enrichment is made with natural organic inputs only. Chemical inputs, herbicides chimiquessont therefore proscribed. The latest generation of equipment was acquired in 2012 in order to reduce fuel consumption on the farm and phytosanitary doses have also been reduced by 30% while maintaining the same efficiency. Each intervention must be justified, quantified and analyzed in order to avoid excessive and harmful practice soils and wines. We practice responsible agriculture for future generations, it is reasoned and above all reasonable. By favoring low yields, a reasoned and reasonable wine, quality and structure of the wines have a rare quality for the region.
