The winemaker

Crossing the Rhône, they replanted a few hectares of Syrah on the outskirts of the Château des Archevêques and produced their first vintage in 1998. Then they decided to buy vines in Condrieu, Saint-Péray, Saint-Joseph and Côte Rôtie. Since then, they have gone from strength to strength. Today, the estate extends over 18 hectares: 11 hectares on the hillsides of Seyssuel, in the northern Rhône valley, planted with Syrah and Viognier, where they produce 3 vins de pays des collines rhodaniennes: Sotanum (red), Héluicum (red) and Taburnum (white). And 7 hectares on the other side of the river, divided between the appellations: Côte Rôtie Condrieu Saint Joseph (red) Saint Péray (white) under a range called the "Archevêques" Since 1998, the company has also been developing a wine merchant activity in the northern Côtes du Rhône vineyards. An in-house oenologist oversees some twenty hectares of appellations, from the famous Côte Rôtie to Saint Péray. Vinification is carried out in Chavanay. In the southern appellations - Gigondas, Châteauneuf du Pape, Vacqueyras... - the vintages are selected by the winemaker and then transferred to the estate's cellars for ageing.
