The winemaker

Situated on the right bank of the Rhône, just outside the Gorges de l'Ardèche, the centuries-old vineyards of Aiguèze (one of France's most beautiful villages) stretch across sun-drenched hillsides. The Chabot family vineyard is the work of several generations of tenacious, courageous winemakers who believe in the future of quality wines. They perpetuate the ancestral methods of soil cultivation and manual harvesting, combining them with the latest technical and oenological knowledge. Since 1993, Sylvain (the sixth generation of passionate winegrowers) has been cultivating his vines and vinifying his grapes on the sunny hillsides of Aiguèze. He is now joined by his brother Laurent and son Vincent. While Grenache is the main grape variety of the Côtes du Rhône and of the domaine, here it is blended with Viognier, Roussanne (for the whites), Cinsault (for the Rosé), and of course Syrah and Mourvèdre for the reds. The result is a complete range in which wine lovers are sure to find something to their liking.
