The winemaker

Domaine Villa d'Erg is a mysterious estate, with very little known about its history, yet today it is one of the spearheads of the Côtes du Rhône. With the arrival of the Romans, vines were planted in this region, and wine quickly developed commercially thanks to rapid access to the capital. Domaine Villa d'Erg is the heir to this ancestral know-how.

The estate produces a wide range of cuvées, from white to red and rosé. Its flagship appellation is undoubtedly Vacqueyras, an exceptional site where great wines are born. Indeed, Vacqueyras was the second village in the Côtes du Rhônes to be awarded AOC status. Villa d'Erg wines are dark in color, with that famous spicy, peppery touch on the palate. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are more elegant and subtle. The estate's Rasteau will be more structured and full-bodied...

White wines are also on the menu, with Grignan-les-Adhémar and the vin de France cuvée "Le temps du Grapillage". These wines are fresh and fruity, leaving tasters speechless. Domaine Villa d'Erg plays with many grape varieties (syrah, grenache, mourvèdre, marsanne, roussanne, viognier...) to offer a multitude of cuvées, each as surprising as the next.
