The winemaker

We grow 5.2 ha Highness, 80 acres and 60 acres of Mondeuse Pinot. Mondeuse and HH are two varieties typically Savoyard. The grape Highness, located in the sixteenth century by the family of Mareste in the hillside of "Highness" in Lucey and "Marestel" to Jongieux, allows the development of Dogfish of Savoy. Mondeuse is known since antiquity. Already cultivated at the time of the Allobroges, she was very popular with Romans. The clay and limestone marl land fronting the Rhone and the microclimate provided by the proximity of Lake Bourget and the Rhone, make it an ideal terroir for these wines. Cultural methods practiced on the field taking care of the environment. Nature ripens the grapes, respect it. After three years at the head of this operation, I put up little by little organic farming methods to arrive at the request of AB certification this year 2013.
