In a few words ...
Rather than blending different cuvées together to create a stereotyped wine from scratch, since the 2007 vintage Jean-Luc Baldès has been working separately with vintages from different selected plots. He makes wines that faithfully reflect the history of the vineyard, according to soil, climate, exposure and ecosystem. The winemaker's approach is simply to return to the basics, those that make up the true craft of winemaking.
