The winemaker

For four generations and until 1984, Domaine du Cros had one hectare of vines and produced about 4,000 bottles of wine per year. It was on that date that Philip Teulier settled on the estate with his parents. In 1984, the area has increased. First, he bought and rented already vines, and secondly he planted his best hillsides with slopes sometimes reached 65%. The Domaine vineyard acreage has increased from 3 ha to 33 ha today. In 2004, it was Julien who joined in turn the area and this is how the tradition is passed from generation to generation. All AOC wines of Domaine du Cros are made exclusively with 100% "Mansois". For over a thousand years that the vine is grown in the Valley, this ancient variety is expressed perfectly in this land where Rougiers dominate (red earth Permian). This is our best slopes that we have drawn our vineyard terraces. They are fully grassed, and we enjoy them just as we maintain the slope; this is how we preserve the biodiversity of flora and fauna in our vineyards. It is this relief and the steep vineyards that lead us to harvest by hand, taking care of the grapes. The wines we produce make us well all these efforts. They are fruity and generous drinking ... it's a bit of our grapes, our land and our culture to be enjoyed.
