In a few words ...
The grapes for the "François de Tournon" cuvée are harvested by hand, terroir by terroir, at optimum ripeness. Vinification is carried out in the traditional way, in open concrete vats, after two days of cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation continues at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. Pigeage and remontage are carried out daily for around ten days. Total vatting time can reach twenty days. The wine is aged for ten to fourteen months in one- to three-year-old oak barrels. Part of the cuvée is aged in vats to preserve all the freshness of the fruit.

To the eye, the color is dark ruby.

The nose is marked by delicate aromas of blackcurrant and spices.

The appellation Saint-Joseph is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Maison Delas and its 49 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
