A major Côte de Nuits appellation in terms of both size and reputation, Gevrey-Chambertin is characterized by a great diversity of terroirs. No white wine is produced here, only pinot noir. The soils in this part of the appellation are brownish-calcareous, giving rise to racy, fine, elegant wines. Les Evocelles vineyard is located at the very northern end of the appellation, at the very top of the hillside, where it benefits from an easterly exposure and terraces, giving it a gentle, advantageous slope.

On the nose, it reveals lightly toasted notes and a subtle blend of concentrated red fruits that evolve into light vanilla and licorice notes.
