In a few words ...

No less than twelve generations have cultivated a magnificent parcel of vines, mostly old vines from Gevrey-Chambertin and Corton. The estate as it exists today was established by Henri Magnien in 1987, and is now run by Charles Magnien. The vineyard covers 6 hectares of old vines (the family's own selection massale), which Charles tends with great skill. The vines are grown using sustainable methods, and vinification is traditional. Charles has invested in the winery to further improve the quality of his wines. A new winery was built in 2018. The wines are full of charm, suppleness and elegance, with classic use of new barrels and moderate extraction. A sincere, elegant expression of quintessential Pinot Noir!

Tasting notes

Appearance

Belle robe rubis vif aux reflets carmins

Taste

On the palate, notes of red fruit (strawberry, cherry) and fresh earth, with well-integrated oak adding roundness and fullness. A fine, elegant wine with fine balance.
