In a few words ...
The Fronholz hillside, at an altitude of 200 meters, is in the commune of Epfig. The sloping part faces due south and west, and enjoys plenty of sunshine until dusk. The soil is a mixture of quartz, silica and marl, with grey on the surface and clay at depth. The roots of the vines capture every nuance of the subsoil, returning the minerality of the rock to the grapes. From this terroir comes our Gewurztraminer Empreinte de Quartz cuvée.
