"The wine of kings and the king of wines": that's how Louis XIV described the Tokaj wines produced by Domaine Oremus. Tokaj is also a wine that was given as a gift to Princess Susana Lorántffy of Transylvania. Domaine Oremus has been making this exceptional sweet wine since 1993. Today, the estate is run by Pablo Álvarez, head of Vega Sicilia. His wines are made from furmint and harslevelü vines planted in the foothills of the Zemplén massif. The Oremus estate and its 115 hectares of vines thus continue to write the history of Tokja wine, long Europe's most prized wine.
