Located in northern Italy, Trentino is a small but beautiful wine-growing region that stretches between Lake Garda and South Tyrol. The landscape is characterized by large forests, numerous glacial lakes and dolomites. Less steep slopes than in South Tyrol and a mild climate provide optimal conditions for viticulture. This ancestral grape variety from northern Italy originated in Veneto, from where it spread to Trentino, Friuli and Lombardy, as far as Emiglia Romagna. Marzemino is probably a descendant of Teroldego from Trentino and of another previously unknown variety. The wines are characterized by a very dark, almost violet color, very fruity, fragrant and with a soft tannic structure. The best qualities also lend themselves to ageing in wood. wine characteristics: saturated ruby red . aromas of ripe plum, cherry heart, blackberry, fine hint of almond . on the palate, dark berry fruit with lively acidity and well-integrated tannins, finely spiced finish.
