In a few words ...
Our aim was to produce a wine of great mineral precision around the fruit, with notes of warm stone and granitic tension. Maturation follows a straightforward attack and should give us the foundation of great wines as well as the pleasure of barely wilted black fruit. The very fine tannins, with notes of pink pepper from gentle maceration and wood from the Tronçais forest, take us to a harmonious length and a finish whose aftertaste reminds us of a natural range of spring/winter aromas. reminiscent of a natural spring/summer aromatic range.

The appellation Saint-Joseph is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include J. Boutin and its 5 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
