In a few words ...
Climatic conditions of the vintage. A cool, wet growing period and poor flowering reduced Grenache yields. Hot, dry weather from mid-June to the end of July, followed by temperatures just below seasonal normals during August-September. Cool temperatures and long daylight hours delayed the harvest by two weeks. Harvesting. 09.09.2013. Hand-picked in small crates, sorted on the vine. Yield. 8 hL/ha Vinification. Vertical pressing, cold settling, spontaneous fermentation in new 500 L French oak barrels. Ageing. In new 500 L barrels, prolonged contact with solids, no malolactic fermentation, no fining.

Its taut palate reveals notes of gingerbread and apricot, with a long, complex finish that is both rich and saline.
