In a few words ...
Dark carmine-red hue. Complex nose of Mediterranean and sub-Mediterranean spices, candied red fruit and black soil with humus. Opulent but also very fresh attack. Tight but very fine tannins from the middle attack to the elegantly persistent finish. Ageing in in a 228 L Burgundy room integrates perfectly, leaving a very long caudalie without ever losing its freshness. A Gigondas for those who like concentrated yet feminine juices.

Gigondas
The appellation Gigondas is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include La ferme du Mont and its 22 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
