In a few words ...
La grande cuvée de revelette is undoubtedly the best of the Pays d'Aix. A wine of great density, richness, structure, depth and aromatic complexity, it is built to last... the 2012 is grandiose and can be enjoyed perfectly today, with stewed red and black fruits, underlined by spices, and a beautifully chiseled tannic structure. 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Vineyards located between 330 and 400 m altitude. Aged 12 months in oak barrels, 25% new. Aged for 15 to 20 years.
Tasting notes
Appearance
The color is of rare intensity, a splendid near-black with violet highlights.
Aroma
The nose is fruity with notes of blackcurrant and prune, spicy with licorice and chocolate, and then takes us into the undergrowth with notes of mushroom, moss and leather.
Taste
La bouche est ample, explosive, chaleureuse. Les tanins, l'alcool et l'acidité sont équilibrés dans une puissance certaine. On retrouve les notes fruitées et une superbe finale aux fragrances de café.
