In a few words ...
In southern Burgundy, this appellation is located in the Mâcon villages of Fuissé, Solutré, Pouilly, Vergisson and Chaintré. The brown soil is limestone and calcareous on Lias marl on the lower southern and eastern slopes of the Solutré and Vergisson rocks. These terroirs produce very fine white wines that sometimes need a few years' ageing to reveal their full potential.

I ordered this wine with complete confidence (I drank it at my brother's house!) pouilly Fuissé sometimes disappoints (if bought at random), but here we find the buttery notes and citrus fruit that I personally adore!
