In a few words ...
The first mention of morey dates back to 1120, when it became a refuge for Cîteaux monks in the 14th century, who probably owned many vines and even a winery as early as 1306. The appellation stretches from Chambolle-Musigny to Gevrey-Chambertin, with around 148 ha, 80% of which are red wines. "les chaffots" (the chaffots) indicate places where hay barns were located. Elsewhere, they are called echafaud, fourches etc. This is undoubtedly the place where seigneurial justice executed those condemned to the last torment. This premier cru parcel lies above the grand cru "clos saint-denis". The vines are planted on fossiliferous stones on a steep slope... 2019 is perfect today. Fruity, remarkably defined, dense and deep, elegant, with fine tannins, it will delight you for at least another 10 years. 100% pinot noir. Only a few thousand bottles per year. Aged partly in old oak barrels and partly in jars, to preserve the freshness of the fruit.

On the palate, the fruit takes center stage, with remarkable definition, density and depth, elegance and fine tannins.
