The Burgundies of the Orient Express and Concorde
Edouard Delaunay
The rebirth of a great winery created in 1893
—
In 1920, Marcel and Jean Delaunay raised the Delaunay wine estate to the ranks of the great Burgundian domains. They distributed their wines to the major travel companies such as Orient Express, Air France and Cunard.
In 2017, Laurent Delaunay (5th generation) bought the family estate created by his great-grandfather in 1893. Sold in 1993 by his father, the wine estate left the family for years.
The wines reflect the personality of this 55-year-old man, an oenologist by training. With him, there is little intervention in the vineyard and no over-timbering. The wine must express its terroir and its plot.
