The origin of the name "La Pucelle" comes historically from the way in which the family's vineyards were divided up, with the youngest daughter of the family (a "pucelle" in comparison with her eldest daughters, who were surely already married) being allocated a parcel. The surface area of the Rully 1er Cru La Pucelle parcel is 1.6 hectares.
Tasting notes
Appearance
Golden with green highlights, more intense buttercup with age.
Aroma
It excels in aromas of "hedge flowers" such as acacia, hawthorn, honeysuckle, fine elderberry, violet, lemon, white peach and flint. Time brings out honey, quince and dried fruit.

Taste
Ample and round. The attack is straightforward, followed by woody, vanilla and citrus notes. The finish is long and generous.
