The winemaker

The ODDO family. The family was fortunate enough to acquire one of the best terroirs in the Stellenbosch region, the Taaibosch vineyard, formerly the Cordoba Farm, a 59-hectare estate located on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains in Stellenbosch. The estate's exceptional terroir offers the best conditions for Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to flourish. Here, a traditional approach to winemaking is used, implemented by our talented cellar master Schalk Willem Joubert who meticulously plans, blends and calculates just the right amount of each element needed to make our exceptional wines. The wines embody Old World style, quality and values; for us, this is our mission (vocation? priesthood?).
