The winemaker

With a background in the restaurant business, Gonzalo Anton, along with a group of investor friends, set up Arte Vino, which owns vineyards in some of Spain's most emblematic regions, with the aim of producing modern wines that best express the personality of Spanish grape varieties. The vines, with an average age of fifty years, are planted on poor soils. Managed using integrated agriculture, the vineyards are carefully tended, with priority given to low yields and the harvesting of small, healthy, concentrated berries. Gonzalo Anton has designed a cellar that is as functional as possible: organized on 5 levels, it allows the grapes to be worked by gravity, from harvesting to ageing.
