In a few words ...
A true Languedoc story, a village story... a grandson (marc valette) who takes over the family vineyards under the firm but attentive guidance of his grandfather. The religion of hard work, the old values, but, like those of all his bistro and rugby buddies, the grapes end up at the cooperative... then, in 1992, it's the cultural revolution: marc valette creates his own domaine. He would make his own wine, freely, in his own image. And so began an adventure full of sweat, joy and tears, a love story between a terroir and a man. Working the vines naturally is an obvious choice. For yourself, first of all, because quite simply, you drink the wine you produce. Because it's hard to love your land and your country while destroying them. Because you have to think of your children. Domaine Canet-Valette has been certified organic by Ecocert since 1999. However, there's no question of playing the ayatollah; fundamentalism always leads to exclusion. The acquisition of two plots of land adjoining the domaine has enabled the planting of two Mediterranean grape varieties: piquepoul and bourboulenc.
