In a few words ...

"I love this nature, this sky, these wild hills, these woods in the depths, these secret valleys where water stagnates. Organic farming allows us to live in harmony with nature, to accompany it for a while and extract a few elements of civilization from it." Located in the commune of puisseguin, but on the administrative border of two appellations (puisseguin saint-emilion and castillon côtes de bordeaux), château fongaban is a historic family estate in puisseguin. From 8 hectares at the time (in 1932), the vineyard now extends over some forty hectares, most of them on shallow clay. The wines are of exemplary quality, always intensely colored and full of bouquet. An organic wine is a wine made from organically grown grapes. Its production method is based on respect for the environment and natural surroundings. The specifications for organic farming impose much more restrictive practices than those for conventional viticulture. It prohibits the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, and encourages regular tillage of the soil.

Tasting notes

Aroma

Fresh, floral nose of peony and blackcurrant with lightly smoky accents.

Taste

Frank, round attack, evoking red fruit juice, fading to a roasted, toasted universe, balanced by a fruity sap.
