Château Gazin is one of Pomerol's highest-quality estates, with a silky, elegant, discreet wine that expresses just the right ripeness in pure, precise fruit. It has to be said that the vineyard benefits from a remarkable terroir of gravel and clay on the appellation's high plateau, 26 hectares in a single block planted mainly with Merlot (90%), with a complement of Cabernet Sauvignon (7%) and Cabernet Franc. J. Suckling: 94-95/100
