One of Pomerol's largest estates, it stands out for its classic, straightforward style. Recent vintages have tended towards suavity.
"On retrouve la patte médocaine dans ce vin, un peu fougueux dans sa jeunesse, et qu'il faudra savoir attendre pour l'apprécier pleinement. Aujourd'hui, le rubis de la robe est vif. Le bouquet évoque les fruits frais, la fougère et le sous-bois. Fin au palais, mais vite dominé par des tanins serrés et cacaotés, ce 2006 gagnera à vieillir"

Appearance
The Pomerol's dress is most often dark ruby and purple hues in its youth and an appearance of brick hues with aging.
Aroma
The bouquet is often very rich and complex with notes of black and red fruits. Also note the presence of empyreumatic with leather, roasting and a vanilla tip.

The tannins of the Pomerols are rather robust, we will wait a certain maturity to find a perfectly balanced wine. Note the presence of ripe black fruits including blackcurrant, and sometimes truffle.
