The Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten vineyard is located in northern Alsace, at the gateway to the wine route. The southeast-facing vines are planted on deep, draining marl-limestone-gypsum soils. Sheltered by the Balbronn ditch and protected from rain and wind by the Vosges mountains, they benefit from exceptional sunshine conditions.
