In a few words ...
Mentioned as early as 1394, "kessler" has been marketed under its own name since 1830. Together with "kitterlé", it forms the best of the Schlumberger terroirs. The house's wise pricing policy encourages us to taste them... the 2019 is starting to come into its own. The light yellow color with green highlights is of medium intensity. The first nose is frank, intense and very pleasant. Then comes a dominant of exotic fruits, underlined by citrus and spicy flavors. Ginger in particular. On the palate, minerality expresses itself with great character, lemony notes are well present, before a racy finish with a clear, persistent vivacity. Ideal with shellfish, Asian cuisine or fish cooked with spices. 100% Riesling. A sandstone terroir with a central valley facing east and southeast, sheltered from cold northerly winds and the Guebwiller valley. natural extension of the "kitterlé" grand cru, with reddish subsoils on a base of Vosges sandstone. Aged on fine lees for 8 months in foudres.

Appearance
The color is lemon-yellow, with light green reflections of medium intensity. The disk is bright, limpid and transparent. The wine has a youthful radiance.
Aroma
The nose is frank, pleasant, intense and distinguished. The dominant scents are fruity and candied. Citrus, lemon, exotic, pineapple, spices, ginger. Aeration amplifies the preceding scents, revealing a mineral character.
