The winemaker

An exceptional terroir

Ribeauvillé is a symbol of Alsatian gastronomy, with a unique historical heritage. The region is known for its exceptional wine estates. Situated on a geological fault, benefiting from plenty of sunshine and the protection of the mountains, the Ribeauvillé terroir boasts a variety of soils: clay, sandstone, marl and limestone.

Its location and characteristics allow a wide range of grape varieties to flourish, including Riesling, the region's emblematic grape variety, to which the Trimbach family is truly passionate. This grape has great qualities and produces exceptional white wines, appreciated and sought-after the world over, which are elegant, fine and fruity.

The savoir-faire of Maison Trimbach, a blend of modernity and tradition

Practices are carefully considered and aim to produce wines of the highest quality with respect for nature: soil preservation, rigorous grape selection, measured yields, respect for the environment, short pruning and observation of nature.

Vinification is carried out using a combination of stainless steel vats and old foudres, in a constant quest for balance. Wines are marketed only when they reach maturity, and some are sold only five to seven years after bottling.

International recognition

Trimbach dry wines are enjoyed by discerning wine lovers the world over. Over 85% of Trimbach's production is exported. They are served on the world's finest tables and in prestigious restaurants in France, Europe and around the globe.

Exceptional Alsace wines

With a subtle balance between fruity aromas, minerality and acidity, Trimbach wines are the perfect match for the most delicate dishes. Trimbach's production includes several cuvées, with great classics, reserve wines, prestige and collection wines and Grands Crus.

Among the great classics, you can choose between Sylvaner, a light, dry wine with a distinctive fruity character; Gewurztraminer, a unique wine with a spicy, fruity character; the thirst-quenching Pinot Blanc, balanced and supple; or a Riesling with a delicate, balanced, rich bouquet; Reserve cuvées are the result of a rigorous selection process, and are only produced in certain years to guarantee exceptional quality.

Prestige and collector's wines include two very rare wines: Late Harvest are wines reserved for the four noblest grape varieties and subject to the most stringent French legislation. Domaine Trimbach produces three of them and offers these wines of excellence, rare, fruity, sweet and simply bewitching.

Les sélections de Grains Nobles are cuvées are even rarer, requiring grain-by-grain harvesting and very special climatic conditions to allow noble rot to appear. These are truly exceptional nectars, with complex aromas and incredible longevity. They are only produced in very small quantities, and only the best vintages permit their production.
