The Regnié appellation covers 650 hectares, with an average annual production of 36,000 hl. Since 1988, it has been the most recent of the Beaujolais crus. Château de Pizay owns a vineyard in the hamlet of "Chastys" in Régnié, which produces distinctive wines with remarkable aromas of raspberry and blackcurrant. The wine's aromatic finesse and freshness make it a perfect match for tasty starters such as ballotine and crudités, as well as delicate river and lake fish. It's also a refreshing accompaniment to Asian savory dishes (sushi or wok dishes), as well as cured meats (charcuterie) or grilled meats. 100% Gamay. 5 hectares of 55-year-old vines. 30,000 bottles per year. Aged in stainless steel vats.
