In a few words ...
This is the most northerly of the 10 Beaujolais crus. It lies on clay-silica soil. The 2012 vintage was a low-harvest one, producing only half of a normal year's crop. The wines are racy and have a lovely Beaujolais freshness that brings out the crisp, fruity aromas of Gamay. The grapes are harvested by hand, keeping them whole to preserve the fruit and Gamay aromas. Vinification is traditional (in oak barrels) but slightly lengthened to enhance color, structure and roundness.

Appearance
The color is ruby. This is the most romantic wine in Beaujolais.
Aroma
Lively, fruity, fleshy and well-balanced. It reveals aromas of kirsch, spices and reseda.
