In a few words ...

Domaine de l'aurage 2015the latest addition to the mitjavile family, domaine de l'aurage covers some ten hectares in the saint-gènes-de-castillon commune, part of the castillon côte de bordeaux aoc. The vines are still young, but the breed of the wines is already there. The grape varieties are 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. The soils are clay-limestone, with siliceous parts at the bottom of the slope. The color is less concentrated than on the roc de cambes or tertre roteboeuf. The nose is typical of pate mitjavile, with a very ripe fruitiness that is very marked from the opening. Mainly candied cherry. Sweet spices are well represented, revealing vanilla, coffee and chocolate. The palate is soft and supple, despite the high alcohol content. The tannins are very silky and the whole offers incomparable pleasure. An excellent value for money for fine Castillon!

Tasting notes

Aroma

The star of the Mitjaville family's quality-price ratio! Powerful, tannic and long on the palate. Drink it with game or meat in sauce, to enjoy with friends.

A Bordeaux of great quality. After a good decanting, you'll be able to admire its roundness at a barbecue with mature, marbled cuts of beef.

A wine of extraordinary complexity. Velvety on the palate, absolutely delicious with a fine piece of beef.
