The winemaker
Castle France is mentioned in 1874 in the reference books. Its vineyards cover one of the highest hills of the town of Léognan. Bernard Thomassin acquired the Château de France in 1971. Since then, many investments have been made continuously. The vineyard has been completely restored. The vat room and cellars were renovated and restructured. One goal for the Castle France: develop a great wine. Arnaud Thomassin, arrived in 1996, now runs the property in the spirit intended by his father Bernard. The wines are sold in France and worldwide recognition of the quality and the work of the Thomassin family for over forty years.
