The winemaker

The Château Tour Haut Caussan vineyard


The property has the particularity of having a double terroir. Half the vineyard is in Blaignan, where the soil is composed of clay and limestone. The other half is located in Ordonnac, with soil composed of red clay and Pyrenean gravel. These terroirs are ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (45%) and Petit Verdot (5%).

Château Tour Haut Caussan - Cru Bourgeois is a red wine with a beautiful dark color. It has pleasant aromas of red and dried fruits on the nose, with a hint of cocoa and spices. On the palate, it is round, velvety and supple. Thanks to its quality, it can be kept for six years.
