Château Fourcas-Dupré is an excellent reference in the Listrac appellation, the highest point of the Médoc, with a lovely terroir of gravel, clay and limestone. Born in the 18th century, the cru has been admirably managed by Patrice Pagès since 1985. The 46-hectare single vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (44% each), complemented by Cabernet Franc (10%) and Petit Verdot (2%). James Suckling ( 88 )

Aroma
A fruity, floral nose sets the wine ablaze with notes of spicy, empyreumatic black fruits. Blackcurrant, vanilla, pepper and tobacco blend harmoniously.

Its personality develops on a balanced, suave whole. Over time, the smoothness and elegance of its tannins give it remarkable harmony and balance. Note the roasted and toasted notes that develop with ageing.
